You have too good of a cast to quit on them yet Just move it five years down the line and a new series can start from that point right O? Hey it works for the movies right O.Or make it twenty years on and then have those Son of Sam books start coming out. Or was that a bunch of Horse books that my girl friends in the second grade made me read. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I think it was the Son of Flicker books or Son of Thunder one or some such right???
Y a know we could even have an Admiral Gun right??
Or Khan the conqueror on the side right?

Love this series, good characters, good story, very believable technology. The only con is there are a few grammatical and spelling errors that would have been easily fixed if there was any proofreading at all, but not that bad.
I read all 5 books. Of all the books I have read, I vote this series as "Most in Need of an Editor!" There are errors on every page typos, naming errors, using words that had the opposite meaning to what was intended. Some improper usage of words continued through all 5 books, suggesting that the author did not know the correct usage of the word. For instance "She was sit at the table" used rather than "She sat at the table" or "She was seated at the table".
However, if you can get past the incorrect grammar and proliferation of typos, the author is a good story teller, and the books were a good read.
This has been a very good and exciting series to read. The plot is good and the characters likeable. I felt that the ending of this book was a little rushed and could have been more robust. But over all a good read that keeps you turning the pages and waiting for the next shoe to fall. I have recommend this series to a number of my SF\military friends.
This is the final book in the series, so if you have read the other books... This is a must buy! The Star Crusades series is a fast paced, action packed, military Sci-Fri series that is a must read for any hard core Sy-Fi fans.
If you have not started the Star Crusades yet... What are you waiting for?! The Star Crusades Omnibus just came out so by it... NOW!!! I will be looking for other books from Mr. Thomas.
A great book to an epic series, answers a lot of questions and ties up the storyline arc quite nicely. No shortage of action as we've come to expect from this series, and a couple of nice plot twists to keep things interesting.
The ending was a bit more abrupt than I hoped, but this just leaves things open to new stories in the Star Crusades universe! Looking forward to any future books - blog posted by the Author says there will likely be more! Keep up the good work!
The author of the this book had a lot of loose ends to tie up in this book. Amazingly, he got it done. The plot quickly moves along and initially I found myself impatient for a resolution which was tightly scripted with only the slightest sense of convulution. For 3.99, it was well worth it and brought a satistfying conclusion to the series. The characters and the entire universe created herein is easily laden with more stories and I look forward to anything from this storyline and author.
Having read all five books in this series, it gets a bit repetive. The author spends a lot of time describing the battles,especially the armed combat ones, to the point where you start to feel that he is filling up space. I should point out that I am actually reviewing all 5 books here.
The story lines are interesting, and the futurism of the stories in general does not stretch the boundaries too far. The hero of the series, Spartan, is somewhat too good to be true and the villains are somewhat archetypical.
The conclusion at the end of book five seems to happen quite suddenly and left me a little unsure of what transpired.
